It was late Thursday and Mark Collier, Marketing Director of The HomeForm Group, was very clear with his brief:
“I need a 3 minute film to demonstrate adequately what Moben, Sharps and Dolphin have achieved with our new-look showroom rollout program during 2009/2010. I need to show the old showroom format and compare it with the glossy new look. You need to focus on several showrooms across the northern half of the country and, by the way, our CEO will present it to the board of directors in the United States next Thursday!”
At that point it started to feel like an episode of “24″ – the clock was ticking and federal agent Jack Bauer was nowhere to be seen. However, we had days rather than hours, so a plan was quickly formulated…
Tick… Friday. Scripts written and submitted. Script chosen and film crew booked. Story boards drawn up.
Tock… Saturday. Filming in Manchester .
Tick… Sunday. Filming in Leeds and Oxford.
Tock… Monday. Footage edited and mixed. Movie mpeg submitted. Movie approved (with one very small change).
Tick… Tuesday. Customer more than delighted with the final result. Hi-res files made available for download.
Mission accomplished, with 24 hours to spare!
