Heineken UK briefed Superior to come up with a visual theme, supporting POS and press advertising, to feature their Cider Festival product marketing initiative. The theme would create a common platform for their cider brands (Strongbow, Bulmers and Jacques) throughout the impulse, wholesale and grocery sectors.
From the ‘apple tree landscape’ core creative (no pun intended) through artworking, print, finishing and delivery we created, produced and managed the entire project. 8,000 retail kits were supplied to the whole of the off-trade sector, including pallet wraps and 3-shelf FSUs which were produced for Sainsbury’s.

We were asked by Heineken UK to deliver a cohesive, compelling and visually striking creative template which could be used across a variety of consumer and customer facing items to support and advertise the launch of the Strongbow glass in April 2010.
The campaign needed a core creative image from which everything else would hang. We created the heroic visual of the “grafters” hand holding the “reward” of an ice cold Strongbow aloft from a combination of existing imagery. An image of the new glass was retouched, placed into the hand (which was taken from a previous, older campaign), and imbued with a radiating aura.
This image was then applied across a range of promotional items that included large format shape cut standees, individual glass promotional packaging, trade press advertising, consumer posters and marketing presenters.

Anticipation of the 2010 South African World Cup is building to fever pitch, along with the opportunities to increase retail sales.
To promote the World Cup instore for Premier, Superior devised a text-to-win competition that will run from 12th May to 13th July. Fronted by Sir Geoff Hurst MBE, England’s hat trick hero from the 1966 World Cup-winning England team, the competition will yield 10 prize winners every day!
Point of Sale material features photographs, taken by Superior, of Sir Geoff in a 1966 World Cup replica strip. Prizes included signed editions of this strip and sixties style footballs also signed by Sir Geoff.
In the first week of the competition, Superior received 10,000 text-to-win entries.

This is the year the Premier retail group achieves its 2,500 store launch. To help celebrate this milestone, Superior devised Premier’s biggest-ever promotion, involving 3 million scratch cards, across the nationwide estate.
In April, Premier customers who spent £5 or more could pick up an instant win scratch card with a one-in-three chance of winning free product and cash prizes, worth a total of £750,000.
Superior’s 10 years of experience servicing Premier stores were brought to bear in communicating this exciting promotion to trade and customers, through local press advertising, leaflets and point of sale, as well as printing and supplying the scratch cards, and organising redemption of cash prizes.
There were 1.2 million in-store prize winners plus 6 lucky cash winners of £2,500. The promotion ran for four weeks across the entire Premier estate.

Superior is pleased to announce the launch of its latest web site, for ATI Europe Distribution, www.atimetals.co.uk.
ATI Europe Distribution, also known as Allegheny Technologies Ltd, has roots dating back more than 30 years as a dedicated stockist, manufacturer and distributor of titanium and zirconium semi-finished products.
Our goal was to provide an online presence for Allegheny Technologies Ltd. The design and interface represent a dramatic improvement, whilst maintaining brand guidelines.
In addition to the site’s new look and feel, we have improved the site’s navigation, making it more intuitive and user-friendly. We also created a visual navigation system for two of the site’s pages ‘Products‘ and ‘Markets‘ making it simpler and quicker to source the type and grade of metal required.

Superior were commissioned to design and print a new giftware range using a collection of imagery of their tutus; the first project following the Royal Opera House’s recent rebranding. We sourced images from a huge library, focusing solely on tutus with exotic colours and elaborate beadings.
A range of ten greetings cards featured images only. In addition, montages were created from such images, using pink hues, and these were applied to a notecard pack, giftwrap and gift tag. A close-up of one tutu, accentuating the beautiful sequins, was printed in a metallic silver to create a chic giftwrap and matching gift tag.
The range is currently being extended to include a pad block, printed pen and notebook. All items are available for sale in the Royal Opera House Shop in Covent Garden, London.
The Tutus range was recently nominated for the ‘Best Product Award’ at the Association for Cultural Enterprises (ACE) Annual Convention in February.
