			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1648" title="cider1" src="http://www.superior.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/cider1.jpg" alt="" width="690" height="470" />Heineken needed Superior to produce a creative that would drive the cider category to gain a fast start to the summer, by engaging both retailers and shoppers in the category earlier than the traditional cider period. The creative had to link cider to the anticipation of summer and refreshment and be flexible for other call to actions (e.g. Beer and Cider Festival). Creative and comms had to clearly call out refreshment, look premium, be bright and eye catching. It needed to have a strong consumer and retailer message that captures why they should drink and why they should invest in cider.</p>

<p>We created the core imagery, consisting of participating brand packs sat in a summery landscape drenched in the glow of a fizzy cider apple sun! We generated all artwork, campaign-managed and produced all of the marketing collateral. Materials produced for the full POS deck included posters, wobblers, stickers, stack cards, aisle fins, a retail kit box, FSDU, pallet wrap and header. We also produced a category presenter for the Heineken sales teams and retailer facing advertising.</p>
<p>Items were called off for despatch by the individual Heineken representatives through the Heineken on line ordering system which is directly linked in to the Superior fulfilment operation. Allowing seamless transfer of information from ordering to despatch.</p>

<p>On 7th March 2012, Malcolm Hall, Marketing Operations Manager for Heineken in the UK officially opened Superior’s new Design and Administration Centre, which accommodates design, production, administration and clerical staff, as well as senior management.</p>
<p>This bright, purpose-built asset brings all these functions together in one 7,000 sq ft open-plan space as part of a £2million investment programme.</p>
<p>Malcolm and his Brandstore team toured the centre and the newly-equipped digital printing area which supplies all of Heineken UK on- and off-trade print requirements under an exclusive supplier partnership arrangement. Heineken&#8217;s ‘Brandstore’ is both a system and a team that manages point-of-sale and branded merchandise. Malcolm highlighted the excellent working relationship between our companies, “Superior lives and breathes our brands&#8230; like an extension of Heineken UK&#8230; and I don’t think you can give the relationship higher praise than that. It was an honour to be asked to open the new studio, which I am sure will prove to be a great step forward in developing what is already a great work environment.”</p>

<p>Superior’s two-year contract with Heineken in the UK has just been extended to the end of 2013 following assurances of continued investment to meet Heineken’s growth requirements.</p>
<p>Superior Managing Director Ian O’Connor said he was grateful for Heineken&#8217;s support and commitment and added, “It has been a wish of mine and my fellow directors to have a facility that is big enough to encompass us all in one office. The realisation of that ambition represents a significant landmark in Superior&#8217;s history, one that brings our people together to enhance communication between studio, sales and production.”</p>

Superior has been working alongside Noble Foods to help increase their sales in Tesco stores.</p>
<p>The aim for Noble is to attract buyers to their egg fixtures where they are placed away from the main category aisle.</p>
<p>We designed the eye-catching units to interlock with Tesco’s own wheeled pallets, enabling the product to be easily situated anywhere in-store.</p>
<p>The units can be adapted, with various fillers and graphics, to hold different pack sizes within a standard display.</p>

<p>Superior was tasked with implementing a workable solution to meet a tight set of parameters for this year’s Molton Brown festive mailer. While the look and feel of the finished item needed to reflect the quality of the products it promoted, the budget had to be respected, as always.</p>
<p>Working closely with the marketing team at Molton Brown and experimenting with different formats, we finally settled on a square, 8 page leaflet with perforated gift coupon. Their in-house creative team designed the content and supplied the artwork. Superior’s digital NexPress was chosen for the job as the best way to achieve the required personalisation of SRA3 lithographic flat sheets.</p>
<p>Taking the supplied mailing list of over 50,000 names, Superior then printed, personalised, trimmed, perforated, hand finished and fulfilled all the leaflets in time for a pre-Christmas delivery.</p>

<p><strong>New Year Bounceback</strong></p>
<p>Superior was asked to produce 27,000 copies of an A6, 4pp ‘New Year Treat’ offer. Each piece was personalised specifically for each Molton Brown store or concession (74 versions altogether). This bright and fun invitation, complete with a die-cut heart shape, was digitally printed and fulfilled by hand.</p>
